Brian Henderson, Director of Golf

Clearwater Country Club welcomes new Director of Golf Brian Henderson. Brian is a PGA member since 1998 and has many years of golf operations experience with golf management giants ClubCorp and Marriott/Ritz-Carlton Golf.  His business skills have earned him local and national accolades such as Top 100 Golf Shop Award, Golf Shop News 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2004.  Ritz-Carlton Crystal Achievement Award for Marketing Excellence 2006, Merchandiser of the Year, Georgia PGA 2004 and 1989 Junior Alumni of the Year College of Business Administration, University of South Florida.

His creative thinking and drive generate tremendous results for the golf courses he has been affiliated.  Most recently he was Director of Marketing and Sales for Tampa Palms Golf & CC, Hunter's Green CC, East Lake Woodlands and Countryside Country Club.

Originally from Erie, Pa Brian transferred to the University of South Florida from Westminster College and graduated from USF in 1982 with a degree in Business Administration/marketing.  He has a wife Kim and beagle Kudos.

Ned Hall, PGA Teaching Professional

Ned is a 25-year PGA professional teaching instructor. Ned's professional career includes top teaching positions in Albany, NY, Lake Forest, IL and Newport, RI, before returning to his Indian Rocks Beach FL home.

Ned enjoys over 13 years as Clearwater Country Club's PGA Teaching Professional. We invite you to join Ned and experience for yourself the satisfaction and enjoyment that comes from playing better golf. A few words from Ned and his teaching philosophy:

"Golfers come to me to make a breakthrough allowing them to enjoy the game even more, but my greatest sense of fulfillment comes from our time together on the lesson tee and golf course. Watching someone's face light up with joy is the highest accomplishment there is for a teacher."

"My goal is to give each student – whether beginner or tour pro – a simple plan making their individual swing as efficient as possible. We focus together on their unique need for improvement in grip, alignment and balance.

Group Clinics

Clearwater Country Club is offering three group clinics. Two are specialized golf clinics: for women and for experienced aspiring junior and high school golfers. All clinics are specifically designed to enhance all areas of your game.

Call the Pro Shop (727) 443-5078 for more information. No reservation required unless you need golf clubs – yes, we offer free use of golf clubs for beginner golfers during clinics. When you participate in five clinics you qualify for discounts in our grille room, the Pro Shop range balls and rounds of golf

Adult Group Clinics

Adult group lessons are available for all levels of golfing experience. If you are new to the game, this is a perfect environment to test the waters. Don't have clubs? No worries, we have complimentary rental clubs available for your first lessons.

Tuesday & Saturday at 10:00 a.m. - $15.00 per session

Women's Golf Clinic

This clinic is designed just for women. Learn about the game in a friendly and fun environment. Our clinics are tailored to provide you a relaxed teaching experience that lets you learn and have fun at your own pace. All skill levels welcome - beginners to intermediates to low handicappers are guaranteed to improve your game.

Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. - $20 per session

Youth Golf Clinic

This clinic is designed just for young men and women with intermediate golf skills who are looking to improve their game to compete for junior, high school and college golf teams. Our clinics will help you meet your golfing objectives from mastering your short game to improving your shot making skills.

Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. - $20 per session

Individual Lessons

Individual, private lessons are available by appointment with Ned Hall (PGA). Call the Pro Shop (727) 443-5078 to schedule a lesson.
